Polygonum caespitosum - bristled knotweed
Erect herbaceous
annual growing up to 1m found in disturbed habitats such as lawns,
along roadsides, and in wet areas. Forms dense stands that outcompete
native vegetation. Treatment should occur in late spring or early
summer before seeds mature. Cutting or hand removal is recommended for
small infestations. Large infestations should be treated with herbicide
application.
