Invasive Plant Control in the North Carolina Sandhills

NCSWMA News

The NCSWMA welcomes our new Coordinator Tracy Rush!

Tracy has an extensive background in natural communties identification and restoration within the North Carolina Sandhills region.  She also has experience and oversight dealing with non-native invasive species present in our area.

Tracy is Chair of the NW Sandhills Chapter of the N.C. Native Plant Society and serves on the N.C. Native Plant Society Board of Directors.  She volunteers for the Pinehurst Greenway Wildlife Habitat Committee.

Assisting Tracy will be Rush Childs and Simeon Henderson, the ED/RR Invasives Strike Team who will carry out surveys and treatments within priority areas off-post in proximity to Fort Bragg and Camp Mackall.   We are extremely fortunate and excited to have all 3 on board and getting some very important projects related to invasive species underway in 2009!
